Politicians CAN be entertaining…

by Cellobella on Tuesday, August 31, 2004

Why are Australian politicians SO BORING. So stultifyingly dull. So caught up with their own importance … or should that be impotence.

Why can’t we have politicians like the yellow tee-shirted Emily Lau?

“I don’t feel the atmosphere is getting better,” says Hong Kong democracy campaigner, Emily Lau. “Otherwise people would not call up my office to say they want to hack off my head!”

“Yes ultimately is a strange word” Says Emily of the PRC view that Hong Kong will ultimately get democracy, “Because ultimately we will be dead!”

She is a classic! Come to WA Emily – I’ll vote for you!

Hi Sarah, I cant agree more. I am so sick of the “kids overboard” talk about push a dead issue! Actually who cares!

I am in bed still really crook (see my blog), and am watching sunrise. A guy just called him “Mr Mogadon” hehehe….

Its scarey to think that Latham may get elected… IHMO

Cheers Grant

I have to say that I’m getting overloaded with election stuff here too….I’m happy to send photos of the dinosaur…of course last time I saw her she was dripping with home made flour glue and not completely covered in paper mache paper. We were covered in glue though…it was a right mess (as Bob the Builder would say). Painting may take place in a couple of weeks…if it ever dries in this climate. C & T have decided to be bears for Halloween so we went fake fur shopping….and that’s about all the news.

Nice to see our cultural cringe is alive, well and extended to our pollie’s entertainment capacity.

…don’t you remember Pauline Hanson?

Yes I do… and you’re right Australians eventually cut down and get rid of any politicians who are a bit “out there”.

I would never have voted for her but I think the political scene is the poorer for her absence.

Soon “please explain” will mean nothing and brightly coloured suits will be a thing of the past. Sigh
