Typical

My first holiday this year – that’s right I haven’t been on holiday all year – coincides with the first week of the school holidays – yes I’m planning on spending some time with my family – remember them CB?

Well I was anyway.

Got home tonight after going to the opening of The Good Store (in Vic Park) – and very nice it was too – and discovered a summons to Jury Duty – on the very week I’m supposedly on holidays. Can you believe it!

I’m going to ask if I can postpone it just for a week – or bring it forward – but I don’t hold out much hope. Do I have to take leave to do this stuff?

I feel quite blue about it all. I realise now how much I was looking forward to the break, and how much I needed it.

Bloody typical.

No way. You have to get out of it, lie, cheat, whatever it takes.

Thank goodness you’ve taken up drinking again to ease the pain ! :)

lol

It’s miscellaneous leave apparently and if I’ve booked a holiday I might be able to be excused. Unfortunately that means that I just go back into the random pool… I’d much rather just do it the week later or something but their system is inflexible like that.

Anyway I’ll make my excuse I think and hope for another chance down the track…

It’s a shame because Groover is desperate to act as a jury but he’s never been asked!

No, get out of it…they can drag on for weeks, …then you will never see your family.

And the hotels are not that good

My Mum had the best excuse for getting out of it. She told them that she was unfit as she held extreme views on race and religion. Dropped her like a hot potato :-)

Use PC against the system for the purposes of good (you and your family;)
