I’m in the midst of back-to-school shopping – trying to get it done before I go back to work – and my daughter and I think school diaries are really boring.
I saw a Jacqueline Wilson diary in Ireland which I thought would have been good but of course they don’t stock them here and now they are out of print. Boring.
So then we thought – wouldn’t it be fun to buy a fluffy diary – or at least a diary with some sort of personality – could we find one? No.
Dear internet, if you have any ideas on this score please let me know or I will be forced to go to Spotlight and make a fluffy diary cover, and frankly, who has time for that?

Go to spotlight – it’ll be fun and you’ll find a hundred other things to make and do … we’ve just finished making an apron for my gal’s friend’s xmas prezzy. yep genuine 1950′s red gingham check number and it was fun…
here’s my instructions for making it
go get some fluff
print out some photos and good pics
make a collage
use PDA glue
if you don’t use the fluff finish the cover off with a coat of boncrete or PDA to gloss it
BTW if that is all soooo hard check out the cheap and cheery shops
also the best bookshop in freo has cool diaries
What’s the best bookshop in Freo? CB
Make your own diary – momento.com – a little pricey but if you want a book you’ll use all year with your own photos of family, friends etc. in it then its a great way to go. Keep old diaries for years and see what you did on what date and the photos you cherished enough to put into the diary for that year. Love the comet pix!
