Congratulations Dippity

Just got back from our first Cott Primary School Assembly – and we were quite impressed. The year 4/5s presented it and two of them read out fairy tales they had written. Then merit certificates were handed out to about 14 of the children including our Dippity “for settling into the new school so well”.

She was very sweet… head down – trying not to show how delighted she was to receive it but not being able to help the odd smile! We are very proud of her. She didn’t want us to go to the assembly but we went anyway – as if we wouldn’t go to see her get her certificate!

Then after some announcements the kids stood up and sang Advance Australia Fair – which Groover was impressed with – my little true blue aussie digger battler new Australian. The kids seem to be settling in well which is a relief.

In other news I have been slugged this week with a repair bill on my car to replace the brake disks – the car is only three years old so I was not happy – I expect better of VW Golfs! And Groover has been cooking up a storm.
