Community Blogger Award

Do you know someone who deserves to be recognised for their community spirit?
Please feel free to award them the Community Blogger Award.
The Community Blogger Award celebrates people who reach out and makes the blogger community a better one. I couldn’t find an existing award so I made it up myself, mainly so I could acknowledge the inaugural winner of the award.
The award has spread and I thought it might be nice to make a blogroll of all the awardees here, to create a community of community bloggers!
Update: OMG I can’t keep up! There are obviously some fabulous communities within the bigger blogging community and I congratulate you all.
Thank you for making your patch of the blogosphere better for us all.

If you leave a comment below I will add you to the blogroll.
Meg wrote: “I think community is one of the most rewarding parts about blogging. It’s the people that come back time after time to comment, adding to the conversation, making you feel like someone is listening and interested.”
Andrew wrote: “I think that the key to community is participation – a town is just a collection of houses unless the people participate in the community. The blogosphere is the same.”
Colin wrote: “It also underlines the importance of a blogs readership community, one of the most rewarding parts about blogging. It’s the people that come back to comment, adding to the conversation, making you feel like someone is listening and interested.”
Which is exactly what this award celebrates.
(If you roll your mouse over the names below you should see who nominated who.)

WOW what a great thing that you have started “I believe that the community is one of the most rewarding parts about blogging. It’s those people that come back time after time to comment, adding to the conversation, making you feel like someone is listening and interested in YOU! It gives many encouagement, friendships, healing, comfort, identity, hope, strength and most of LOVE!

Taking a very active role in blogging is of great importance as it builds trust and friendship throughout the blogosphere. This award sums it up perfectly
I received the award from colin at http://cotojo.wordpress.com
How does the award work, do awardees then pass on the award to other worthy blogs?
Cheers
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Yes that’s right. Choose bloggers who you think live up to the spirit of the award.
Some people choose just one person, others have awarded a longer list.
It’s up to you.
I was awarded the “Community Blogger” recently. I love to find an award with a point of origin, so I can see the start and real meaning of it. Community is something that I have learned recently in the last 3 months. My blog is really just a hub of interaction with other bloggers I have become friends with. I think this is the most enjoyable part of the whole “Blogosphere” so to speak. Thanks from Eric! This was a very nice award to have
Hi,
I have been awarded your award by kin at http://kinshome.blogspot.com/
Thanks very much for starting the award. I’m glad to have found your blog as a result.
Thanks Cellobella for creating this treasured award. When I received the award I was honoured and my joy only surpassed by the privilege of sharing it around. It was like a spark … that old song ~ it only takes a spark to get the fire going and soon all those around can warm up in it’s glowing,..
Probably not so good a point with the horrible fires in Ca.
I still have to add it to my template.
I am about to award a lot of people this award. During the recent severe accident and eventual death of our nephew Joey Andrus, our blogging circle came together with prayer and thoughtful uplifting words as though we all lived on the same street and just a phone call away. It made the unbearable bearable. I wanted to look up the origins of the award so that I could speak sensibly about it when I offered it to so many at one time…an awesome award for some awesome people…
I am honoured to present the award to the following three bloggers:
Etienne Teo – for good advice for bloggers wishing to monetise and develop their sites.
Mark R. Stoneman – for efforts in promoting the historian blogger community.
Shirley Gibson – for the variety of blogs she writes, and for blogging community work.
Kevin
