  1. I got the third one, but not the last. Very clever 🙂

We also love Pictionary, but we get crazy-competitive. Have you tried Balderdash? That’s our other favourite. I love the newer incarnation with the categories, like Date and Acronymns. Hilarious.

  2. Groover is brilliant at Balderdash. Didn’t know there was an updated version. Will have to look into it. Mind you I still say you can’t beat a good game of cards… 🙂

  3. Haha – brilliant! Same same CB – Pictionary was one of our favorite games (and will be again I bet)! We also loved Balderdash and progressed onto Cranium – which sorta combines Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, Scategories and them some – all into one! Lots of fun and we highly recommend it!

Can’t wait to teach our kids the fun in board games. Spent a morning playing Trouble recently and then I taught them how to play a a game called Uckers – a Navy version of Ludo basically – but much more cut-throat. You team up with your opposite number across the board and you attack and defend each other until you all get home! You can find out more about it here:
    http://www.gunplot.net/uckers/uckers2.html

Uckers was all the more fun in that it was always played with the highest amount of ‘showman-ship’ as possible! You heckled and crowed your way around the board – all the while laughing and carrying on! the most animated board game I’ve ever played – but it’d have to be played in it’s true state to see why. I softened the version we played – but still encouraged the same sense of fun in it – the noise and carry-on! The boy’s responded really well actually – for a 4 and 6 year old – Ha!

  4. That’s a GREAT link. Love it. And while I’m feeling pretty handy at the moment… I think I might indulge in buying a Ludo board to see if I can get the troops ucking here. 🙂

  5. Exellent – glad you enjoyed it! Not sure if the Gunplot website is being updated these days – but it’s really interesting site, for a good look into RAN life! Hope you have fun with it! 🙂
