I know posting about this is tantamount at waving a red flag at fate and saying “Yoo hoo! Over here! Time to break a fingernail!” but I don’t care.
I’ve managed to grow my fingernails quite long and they’ve not broken all week, despite gardening on Sunday and I wanted a record..
Noice.
By the way anyone watching East of Everything on Sunday nights? What do you think?
I’m thinking it’s not quite Seachange but I’m starting to enjoy it three episodes in… and that Richard Roxburgh is pretty cute…

My fingernails break, chip, peel, tear, even if I just look at them. I once caught a nail on a loose thread in a sock and tore it right down to the quick. In spite of 30 odd years of nail strengthening treatments tried, including two years of gelatine capsules, my nails remain thin, weak and soft. Did I mention I am jealous of yours? They look beautiful.
I love my hands. Yours look great too!
Not the post to read when you’ve got an itchy back.
Damn!
I must have gotten your fingernail breakage mojo…….. I`ve done 3 today! grrrrr
Well done on yours though
You have lovely long fingers (and nails). What’s your secret? Mine take forever to grow and then are thin and brittle (and I have short stubby fingers and always wanted graceful long fingers like yours)
its very rare for all ten of my nails to be long… usually at least one breaks and then they all break off…or I cut them off in disgust.
for these ones I kept my nail file close and every time I felt the smallest rough patch I filed it off.
It seems to go in cycles too…
I tell my wife frequently, (No, her name isn’t Frequently), “Thank goodness you don’t love the rest of you the way you love your nails. You’d be insufferable.”
She usually takes it pretty well.
Yessum!
I love East of Everything!
and nice nails
