I don't know who said it but 'you can never step back into the same river' spoke of change as a universal truth. Change is inevitable and those hoping to step back into the exact same river they had previously are always going to be disappointed. I love change myself that's why I upgraded when it was still in Beta and absolutely loved the changes. I'm really weary of the constant WP 2.5 bashing that has become almost a religious quest for some. It is currently uncool to actually like the 2.5 version. So again thank you for the post! I’m so happy to have finally read this post (I’m only a month behind lol).

Boo freakin' hoo! Sorry, had to get that off my chest. :) I used the Instant Upgrade Plugin (I'm not sure if this is the same as the Automatic one) and it worked like a charm. I backed up first and then clicked a few buttons and voila - all done for me. The instant plugin upgrade is awesome too and I like the media gallery/flash interface - much clearer. Yay, CB!!!
