What has this photo got to do with the tale I’m about to tell. Nothing. But I just love this image taken of a woman in Key West. Look closely and you’ll see she has one “dead eye” open. Neat.
So here’s the thing…
If you noticed that the back fridge door had been left open and everything in it had completely defrosted and had probably been so for more than 24 hours, would you empty it out and chuck all the food away – given that the temperatures were over 35C during the day, or would you, as Groover did, just turn the fridge back on and then casually mention it to me three days later?
I thought so.
Sometimes I wish I was living with you.

I read that to Rocky and he said he would have turned the fridge back on too, except he would have made sure he was in another city when he told me about it 3 days later!
At least he’s giving you blog fodder…
You are right. I should be grateful.
Pffft.
It’s alright if you haven’t eaten anything
OMG – what a fiasco …words fail me – my son would do this but never tell us , since every chance it is something he would have caused.
I like the last lines.
My nephew (5) has left their freezer open a few times full of meat – in his quest for iceblocks. SIL had to put a lock on it it.
mmmm… tasty
i was so lucky my husband cleaned out the fridge after Katrina. that is not a job i would have wanted.
Yeah, mine would do that too. And then find a way to explain how it wasn’t his FAULT that he conveniently forgot to tell me…..
Men. Brains in their…..
I’m just off to check my freezer…
Except…how close were you to bin day? Much better to chuck frozen or very cold food into the bin on bin day than to let it all sit out in the heat, putrescing. But of course you needed to know that was the plan before you pulled something out for dinner that night.
